Situated on the banks of the Loire, a few minutes from the historic centre of Angers and most of the castles of the Loire Valley and Anjou (Saumur, Chinon, etc.), the campsite extends over 2.3 hectares. Its 108 nicely wooded pitches have a capacity of 450 people. Rated 3 stars, fenced and shaded, it has many modern facilities including a large swimming area, swimming pool with pontoons and water slide and a children's pool with water games.

The house was adequate for 2 people for a week.
I was disappointed that the "shop" was almost non existent. Also that the pool was closed, and that the bar/restaurant had such restricted hours. I also felt that the campsite was surrounded by noisy things (e.g. the tennis court/basket ball court) which was noisy - and not particularly in keeping with a 'slow' village. We have camped at the site at Lacanau for many many years, and I have to say that there was simply no comparison at all.

No kettle. And I was also extremely disappointed that we had to pay an extra 55 Euro to have the house cleaned, or clean it ourself! I am on holiday so felt that cleaning was not really what I wanted to do, but felt that an extra 55 Euro was far too much. This cost should just have been included in the cost of the Tiny House, and we should just have been asked to wash up and throw the rubbish away.

Pitches a bit untidy, and rather small. Not a very relaxing or quiet stay. Music from the bar area too loud and late. Pool closed. Rubbish bins very smelly and too close to pitches. Although not part of the site, the bar outside the camping very loud and noisy. Overall, not a very 'Slow' village for relaxing.

Both reception and manager listened to us but there was no other place available. One should never rent out that cabin again so so dirty and not safe. There wasn’t even a fire alarm which is illegal and I have to report

We disliked everything. The bar was noisy and the kitchen was right in our front garden. The staff even ditched the dirty dish water in the garden where my child was playing!!!

We loved the large pitches and natural space that the campsite provides. They’ve laid it out well, and the bar area especially is lovely. Facilities were clean and provided toilet paper and soap around the clock. Other facilities such as water taps and toilet emptying can be clearly found. The lady on reception welcomed us warmly and explained everything we needed. All other site staff were friendly.
Our only drawback to this site was to find that the pool complex wasn’t private to campers but also open to the public. It’s a big area with lots of aquatic activities but very busy and lacked areas to chill out on a sunbed. It wasn’t clear when we booked that this was the case. There is no privacy between some pitches, whereas others have shrubs around them. That said, we never felt overlooked either!
