Situated on the banks of the Loire, a few minutes from the historic centre of Angers and most of the castles of the Loire Valley and Anjou (Saumur, Chinon, etc.), the campsite extends over 2.3 hectares. Its 108 nicely wooded pitches have a capacity of 450 people. Rated 3 stars, fenced and shaded, it has many modern facilities including a large swimming area, swimming pool with pontoons and water slide and a children's pool with water games.

We met up with friends and visited the Cointreau shop, the weather was poor meaning the pitches were muddy with no grass just leaves resulting in many pitches unusable. Our friends in their motorhome had to stay outside the site.

Location was good for us on the drive back up to Cherbourg. Site was clean. Toilets in need of a deep clean and attention. The sanitary block was old. Broken locks. Very annoying that people kept trying to open door when you are in there. More toilets and showers needed. Washing up facilities good and plentiful. Bar/food area was really lovely, food was really tasty and competitively priced. Pitches were a good size but not very private, no bushes between them so it did feel like you were camping with the person next to you. Pool was lovely but gets very busy.
Toilets and showers need modernising. Move table tennis away from food waste bins as it really really smells. Make pitches more private with bushes.

We came by bike. The tent-pitch had a campers kitchen and a couple of tables with benches and roofs, convenient for having a meal. Campers get free entry to a swimming pool nearby. An evening meal at the restaurant was good.
