This 4-star campsite is located on the Loix peninsula in the Île de Ré’s smallest village. An island on an island, the village is linked to the rest of the Île de Ré by a single narrow lane which winds through the salt marshes. The campsite is friendly and family-oriented, offering a programme of activities six days a week in July and August as well as a busy kids’ club led by mascot “Tommie”. Loix is a little off the beaten track in Ile de Re - but the campsite is perfect for those wanting a wind down - easy cycling access to Ars and St Martin - great campsite, very friendly and accommodating staff, good pool and the artisan village is a great asset.

Lovely small site. Footbal pitch was great for our children.
There was no hand soap or sanitiser in the central WC and shower building - this is not hygienic, especially with COVID. The toilet paper was not always replaced either

Well run campsite, kids love the pool and Loix is a great part of the island. Really impressed by the biathlon organised by Lucas.
Couldn’t pre-book trailer for bike and they were then all rented out. Other guest’s cats kept coming in the tent which was not an enjoyable experience.

The tents are good, beds comfortable and kitchen very useful.
A little more storage would be useful and we only had four chairs for five guests. A kettle might be more use than coffee machine? Cups and glasses are very small.
