Wonderful campsite close to La Flotte and amazing beaches. Such a quiet site especially where our cabin was positioned. Great to have the supermarket close by with lovely forest and the smell of pine. Pool was lovely and the cafe area sold good basic food and rose wine. Bikes are a must and so easy to hire here. Staff so polite and helpful. We will be back.

The water wasn’t as hot as would have liked in the shower. Flicking light. But not a huge issue.

Good size pitch but was not told it was all sand.
Our pitch was 10 minutes walk away from main hub. The dirty sand on the pitch was not good for a Motorhome or our white dog. Next time we would only have a grass pitch nearer to pool and bar. It was the worst pitch we have ever had in 15 years of Motorhome touring..

Love this site and island
The shack we stayed in was untidy and unclean in places. We reported this via the app but nobody responded. I mentioned this to Reception and asked for my broken mug to be replaced. Nobody helped me i had to go back to Reception and the lady said she forgot. On the last day we cleaned. The lady said we had to clean the hair in the plug hole in shower bung even though she said it wasn't our hair as we clearly don't have any! So I reluctantly cleaned it so we didn't loose our deposit. This also wasn't made clear that we had to pay €300 deposit.

Great location, clean and well planned campsite. The staff were very friendly and close to great amenities! Would recommend:)
We flew to La Rochelle, however Beale missed out flight due to no taxis and buses not turning up. Not the campsites fault but might affect future stay. Also some showers did not work and often ran out of toilet roll. Also many signs and app were in French, however there were many English speaking guests. Might be useful and less burden on reception for a few more translations, including on the app I.e. link to inventory, hiring of bed sheets etc. But these are minor things.

We have stayed at this campsite many times. As a family we all love it, the accommodation is so very comfortable and the location I think is the best on the island.

My only comment would be the tent was amazing ( cotton cabine ) but the canvas flaps were on the outside - so when going to the toilet - to get privacy - you would have to go outside the tent - unroll the canvas flap then go back into the tent to go to the toilet . Would be a better design if the flaps were on the inside ?
My sisters tent had plastic over the fly sheets which did not allow for any air to circulate - new addition I believe

The establishment
Location is great. The site is a short walk from the quay side in La Flotte with a good supermarket behind (gate through fence open during day). Town is very active with markets, restaurants and bike hire. Nice to have a pool. Reception has friendly staff.
Access to a pool was good, but it’s smaller than photos may appear and it gets pretty busy, expect to wait for bed spaces, some toilet blocks ran out of paper and showers activated by a push button with a very short blast of water, somewhat tedious.
