This is the first time we have stayed here and will be coming back again. Staff are excellent and facilities spotless with excellent showers and plenty of instant hot water. Waste bins emptied daily and what appears to be a good recycling policy

Lovely, well maintained site. Plenty of room between pitches/accommodation. Ideal for a relaxing break.
Whilst a lovely area, it is very rural and unless you travel for a couple of hours there isn’t much to visit or see. Great if you like walking.

Bit dated. If you like a beer or a long drink take your own glasses (we went out bought some). Had to ask for a BBQ even though it stated in the info that one was provided… luckily they had a spare one, albeit it had seen better days

Been camping in France for nearly 50 years and this is by far the best site we have ever visited. Took a large group of family and friends and booked six adjoining emplacements……..everyone loved it….. spacious, quiet, spotlessly clean, outstanding pool area, great bar , great activities for kids, definitely value for money. Poinsouze has a quiet buzz but avoids completely the raucous glitz of so many upmarket sites.
Vehicles travelling through the site at excessive speeds…………dangerous - and raises horrible dust in a dry summer. Speed limit needs to emphasised - and enforced.

We travelled over 1000km to and from Le Chateau de Poinsouze and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Our pitch was huge, with lots of trees providing very welcome shade from the 30+ degree heat. The site is peaceful and exactly where you want to rest to recover from two+ years of Covid regulations. The pool is fabulous, and the lake providing a perfect back drop. It’s a really competitive price too, nothing to fault.
Perhaps a sign in the village pointing the direction! Might help.

Claudine, Ug and the rest of the team were excellent in all respects. The bar service was excellent, the restaurant food was excellent, and the animation for the kids was excellent. All in all, we thought everything was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt looked after. Thank you again, Claudine and team, we will be returning.
