Dieser Campingplatz war unsere 1. Station unserer Italienrundreise. Die Lage ist ideal um per Bahn (ca. 1/2 Stunde entfernt) die Stadt Florenz zu erkunden oder im nahegelegenen Lago di Bilancino baden zu gehen.

Zeer steile hellingen en achterstabd in onderhoud op trappen, de weg, veel afgebroken tegels en veel ligbedden waren gammel.

We werden iedere ochtend vroeg gewekt door blaffende honden van de boer verder op en personeel met rammelende karren. Zeer storend.

Zeer rustige camping (er waren wel geen motor/auto races op het circuit van Mugello). Zelf uit te kiezen staanplaats, sanitair heeft een verouderde look maar is super hygiënisch met voldoende en goed warm water. Goed zwembad om te verfrissen maar niet om baantjes te zwemmen met voldoende goede ligstoelen. Goed restaurant. Mooi pittoreske dorpen in de omgeving, goede uitvalsbasis voor wielertoeristen. Slechts 30km van Firenze verwijderd, vlot te bereiken met de wagen of trein. Echt een aanrader voor kort of iets langer verblijf, zowel voor caravan, camper, backpacker en bikepacker.
Wegdek op camping is aan vernieuwing toe.

Heerlijke dagen gehad. Dichtbij Florence en andere leuke steden. Op de camping is het rustig, maar genoeg mogelijkheid om beneden bij de receptie wat rumoer op te zoeken.
In deze periode was het voor ons te warm. Wel verkoeling gezocht bij het zwembad.

Het feit dat je de berg op moet om je staanplaats te bereiken. WC en douches zijn 400 m lopen (de berg op of de berg af).
