Camping and Caravanning Playa de Oyambre is located in the Natural Park Oyambre, one of the most beautiful places in Cantabria. A short distance from the beach (15 minute walk), in a wonderful landscape with splendid views of the Picos de Europa, is the ideal place to use as a basis for numerous hikes or day trips to places like Potes, The Picos de Europa, Cares... route, Covadonga, etc.

Pitch 615 had a beautiful view and was hard standing but extremely difficult to exit with a 7.5 metre motorhome. That was the only drawback to our stay.

First time here, definitely not the last. Very spacious pitches. We were given the choice of picking our own. Reception, shop, restaurant and bar very good. Toilet/shower facilities were excellent and spotless. Even had the resident cleaning lady serenading whilst she was working. All the staff here are friendly and make the time to at least say good morning in passing. Can’t comment on the pools as we had our dogs with us and didn’t want to leave them in the van whilst it was hot….. but they looked great and the indoor one was used a lot. Views - green fields, snow capped mountains and beach.

Spotlessly clean facilities, cleaned regularly. Particularly good value for Caravan Motorhome Club members. Good little shop. Bus service to Comillas and St Vincente from outside site. Good walks from site.

Well organised campsite with terraces on a hillside. We had a 'confort' pitch 6.5mx 5.2m with EHU and water for €26 pn. Showers provided good hot water and had levers not push buttons so showering was easy. Sanitary block is a little dated e.g. wooden cubicle doors not laminate, but characterful and everything worked. The only chemical disposal toilet is in full view of the cafe veranda - not so nice for those enjoying a drink or snack. The moho service point is outside the main campsite but only allows for fresh water filling and grey water .

On the whole we loved our stay, with the closeness to the beach and restaurants in the towns a short distance away on our motorbike.
Some pitches were small and units were almost touching whilst others felt more spacious. We had an issue with dogs not on leads and allowed to wander.

Level pitches with services, well looked after. Staff very helpful in allowing us to change pitches when it was needed.
Small pitch next to us, with too many people and their dogs on it when friends met up. Realise it’s a holiday but felt uncomfortable with proximity especially of dogs.

Very friendly staff with English speaking reception staff. Food and bar very good value for money. Toilets were exceptional and the singing lady who kept them clean is a credit to the site. We would recommend this site set in a good location.
Nothing to do with the site but some local dogs were constantly barking when left alone. This happened on a couple of afternoons during our stay.

Pitch size ok for our trailer tent (5m X 5m) plus car. It was fairly level and it had a water tap on it all in all a good pitch.
Our pitch was located close to the house with the barking dogs which was the only negative but nothing to do with the site.

Close walking distance to a lovely beach and a cycle ride to nearby towns. Good toilet blocks which were kept immaculate and lovely smiling cleaners always looking after them.
Some noisy dogs on site that didn’t appear to be quietened.
