Welcome to Le Tedey campsite. Our 4-star campsite has been located near the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean (7km) in the famous seaside resort of Lacanau since 1958. It is located directly on the shores of Lacanau lake in an exceptional, unspoilt natural setting. Everything has been designed for couples, families, friends or individuals looking for moments of swimming, relaxation, nature and sport, including water sports on the lake or in the ocean.

I have just send an email to cielavillage with feedback about the lack of cleaning of the lakeside shower facility, which resulted in dirty toilets, showers, washing up facilities. Our lakeside pitch was amazing and the reason we stayed, but the lack of cleaning (twice in 10 days) brings our rating right down

Amazing! Clear lake right outside our caravan giving us almost a private beach on our doorstep. With the gorgeous weather and the cafe being closed out of season, it felt like our own piece of paradise

Lovely quiet atmosphere, late in the season. The campsite is in beautiful condition, especially impressive given how large it is and how busy it must have been over the summer. Friendly and helpful staff and lively restaurant and shop.
Some of the facilities were unavailable (takeaway etc) but understandable as relatively few visitors. One noisy night with a very large group visiting, which went on to 1.00 in the morning, perhaps could have been given more warning about that visit. But that was the only issue across a two week stay.

We have been coming for 26 years. We love the lakeside view and peaceful setting swimming and kayaking . It is good to see the restaurant doing well. We extended our stay several times very easily without moving pitches which was really helpful. Reception staff were v helpful. Bread etc is fresh and tasty and greatly appreciated to have this service.
The character is gradually changing - however I guess that’s life in s more commercial enterprise. We understand the booking system is changing. We like the fact that the staff know people and where they like to stay. We hope this remains in a nee automated system

Recycling seemed poor compared with other camp sites we stayed in on our way back to England. Notices need to be clearer, people should NOT leave mixed rubbish at the washing up places or in the toilets, people should sort their rubbish into recycling and black bags for landfill. Recycling was better before this company took over.

Our stay was tainted by the 'attitude' of the bar manager. A little thinking 'outside the box' could have made such a difference. Another member of staff came to the rescue. I was left with a poor impression.

As always, the location makes this the perfect destination. The lodges are excellent, and the food at the various establishments gets better every year.
The bar staff seem overworked and a couple can be rude (although some are exceptional). Our lodge has a leak which only became apparent on the last day when it rained

This was our second time and we really enjoyed it. Especially the things like outdoor movies, the sunrise terrace and the variety in food and theme nights.
Everything is in French, even the movie and the kids entertainment. Our daughter does not speak french and can therefore not really enjoy this.

We have been going to Le Tedey for 6 years now, but were disappointed with a few things this time. On arriving at our pitch, the people next door had taken some of our space. If there was appropriate checking of pitches, this would have been sorted before we got there, as the people had been there for a while. Our friends had a battery charger and 2 bikes stolen from their campsite, and another friend had a hammock stolen. In all the years we've been camping, over 20 years, we have never had to lock away our things and have felt secure in many campsites, this was the first time I felt...
...worried about our possessions. There used to be security roaming the campsites throughout the night, if people were making noise after 11/12, he would tell them directly to stop and people would. This meant it was lovely and quiet at night. I had to tell my neighbours to stop shouting at 1 in the morning. The reception said there is a number you can call if there is a noise problem, but this doesn't work as we are in a tent, and it will wake everyone up who might be sleeping, it comes down to us having to say something, which can be awkward.

We love Le Tedey, but there were just too many things that were different this year, we're not sure we will be able to come back, unless some assurances that some things have changed, particularly regards to security.
The drinks at the bar were very expensive, and watered down...I wonder if this could be checked.
