The location is fabulous meaning you can walk to the beach, swim and return to your pitch so easily. There is a great walk in the woods above the campsite and the hotel restaurant with its fantastic views is excellent.
We wished that the campsite stayed open for the season until the end of the month as the weather was good, the sea was warm and there still seemed to be many people who would use it.

We were allocated a pitch for our 7.5m motorhome which was like a Dartmoor peat bog. This never should have been allocated to any vehicle or even a tent! Having extricated ourselves from the mud, we were then given a firm pitch, one of many free pitches.

Toilet/shower block was immaculate; the women who were on duty keeping this clean are amazing. They were also really helpful when we needed help with our hook up, much more helpful than reception. Location next to the beach was unbeatable! Kids loved the football pitch too.
The pitches are too close together and not big enough. Our tent completely filled our pitch, so we had no space to sit outside, BBQ etc. We were under a tree and the lower branches were lower than the roof of the tent, so we had water running off the tree and down the sides of the tent when it rained.

Pitches small, site felt very crowded and noisy at times. Football pitch for kids in a poor state and playground for younger children very basic. Rained heavy during our stay and pitch became waterlogged quickly.

Location, Location, Location!!!
The service from reception and shop staff was very indifferent, to the point of being rude. The pitches were very basic and quite close together. If it hadn't been for the location, right on the beautiful beach of La Franca, we may have actually moved on. Having said that, it is a good place within easy reach of Santanderas a stopover for ferries
