The site was very relaxed with a very good pool, nice bar and well arranged pitches. Whilst it was very hot while we were there, the evening sun comes down behind the hill side allowing things to cool down in the evening so it was cool enough to sleep at night

Liked the back access via the lake to the town. Really liked the look of the place. And liked how the washing machines was payable at the machines and didn’t have to go to the reception for Tokens.
Really could have done with more chairs and loungers around the pool. People had towels on them but actually never sat there once.

Cleaning both toilet blocks at the same time and took nearly an hour at a busy time in the morning and was very inconvenient. You should clean one block, then the other, so that there are always toilets available.

Great welcome and excellent facilities. The environment on site and in the local area are both lovely. Pool area is clean and a decent size. Pitches are a nice size and there is some shade. Hedges between gave good privacy and encouraged wildlife.
Shower push button stayed on a frustratingly short amount of time.

The establishment
The entry to the campsite is through the courtyard of an old French coach house which gives it charm. The campsite is family owned and run and they are friendly and helpful. From the bar seating area, no music, just birdsong, you are surrounded by greenery with the gentle sound of water in the background cascading from the infinity swimming pool. Takeaway food is available and is freshly cooked. Its close proximity to the town via the river walk is pleasant and the town itself, although small, is pretty, and given its history, the scenery there is quite breathtaking.

Our pitch was half under the trees so we had shade from the hot sun. It was spacious and we didn’t feel as though we were all crowded in as the pitches opposite were far enough away. The water tap was close by as were the toilets and showers.

This is a well run campsite in beautiful surroundings. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a gorgeous pool and you choose where to put your tent.
I went in September and although it was still quite busy the bar and restaurant hours had been slimmed down. I understand why, and perhaps holiday makers who go this time of year spend less.

Lovely surroundings and lots of privacy. The sanitaires are high standard and "green" with solar panels to heat the water and provide the lights.
