The site is small, but with great facilities - superb pool that has a luxurious feel; reception and takeouts great to the standard of larger sites if not better; cleanliness and updated shower blocks is the best we have seen for many a year. with competitive pricing. All in all great. In addition, its situation which faces onto the forest with cycle paths enables easy movement between towns and the campsite.

Site position with great shade and mature trees
The pitches are a little small for larger motorhomes. We have a 7.4 meter MH and it has a fixed trailer that thankfully we didn't bring this time as we left our scooter at home in favour of our electric bikes. We really want to return but we are really worried about trying to site the MH with another 1 meter trailer.

Very friendly welcome. Swimming pool looked lovely but we didn’t use it as we preferred to walk to the beach, lovely walk of 10 approx minutes. It was the final week of the season & the gents showers had already been closed, a shame as the site was still full & there was queuing for the ladies showers! Pitches at the bottom of the site, we were on pitch 18 I think, were next to the road which could be distracting if road noise bothers you……it’s also quite shady and enclosed and quite tight for bigger vans. But that’s normal on a lot of French sites. A really lovely site & would revisit.
Loo seats wound be nice!! And reacting to the number of people on site before closing facilities.

It was so nice to be back at Camping La Foret . As always all the staff were so kind and helpful. The campsite is kept spotlessly clean. We had lovely bread every morning from the campsite shop and lovely food from it over our holiday. The new pool area is so nice . With direct access to an amazing beach and cycle paths just at the campsite it was just so nice to enjoy these lovely things. It is a small family orientated camp site and lots of friendly fellow campers on it . Would highly recommend it.

Camping La Foret is an excellent spot to base yourself for visiting the area. Beautiful cycle tack and beach on the doorstep. Most of all, Greg and his family/team were exceptional. Friendly, professional, accommodating and great facilitators. Camping La Foret is definitely worth a visit.

Firstly, thank you very much Greg, Wiebke and extended family for being such welcoming and helpful hosts, catering for all our needs. The villa was ideal for our three-generation family during our month long stay in July/August.. The well-designed, modern accommodation with spacious grounds was impressive : immaculate and very comfortably furnished with tasteful interior design and beach themed decor; and extremely well equipped both internally and externally. Every little detail had been considered.

Previously, we’ve stayed at the campsite which we found as peaceful and maintained to the same excellent standard as the villa so being able to make use of its facilities was great. Daily use of the pool was enjoyed by all the family. We also took advantage of the morning bakery and home-made meals on some occasions. The villa’s location was perfect too with direct access to the beach only a ten-minute walk through the pine forest ( also good for shady walks/ bike rides). Even at the height of the season, the long stretch of beach was quiet. Super location for Vendee visits.
