Did not like the loud music every night from another campsite right next to La Bouysse.

We enjoyed our stay at La Bouysse. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are perfect: enough for kids, restaurant with takeaway, shop, swimming pool, all in good condition.
In peak season it can feel busy on the campsite. There is still enough space, but spots without electricity. If they manage to add electricity to these spots, they can spread the clients. Also one time extra cleaning of the sanitary building would be great.

The establishment
The site has a family feel, is small, shady, has a lovely swimming pool and is situated on the river Dordogne, great for paddle boarding, fishing, canoeing and swimming. The area is beautiful with fabulous chateaus and interesting places to visit on days out.
Nearest supermarket type shop is about 10 min drive, not a dislike just an observation to be organised for food as the campsite shop is small and only stocks v basics.

Situation was good in the quiet area of the site. It was v clean and comfortable. Would definitely return.
No wine glasses or mugs for tea (we bought some mugs whilst there as cups supplied were tiny) or a kettle. Also no oven so ended up having to fry chicken etc. there was a charcoal bbq but we didn’t use it. Will bring our own mugs/wine glasses next time.

Lovely site and position by the river, however the noises and rowdy behaviour till past 01:00 was not good.
We regularly found the toilets in a mucky state over our stay and the hand wash was empty 3 days out of our 5 day stay.

This is our second visit and never disappoints. Superb location and only a minute walk to the beautiful Dordogne. Canoes available for hire from the campsite. Excellent clean facilities and extremely friendly owners and staff. We are already planning our visit for next year.

The camping is not too big and has a swimming pool and is near the river. The swimming pool is too small for the amount of people. Unfortunately the next door camping is some evenings very loud with music. Our girls (12 and 10) made lots of friends and had a great time. The surroundings are gorgeous.
You can order bread for the next day, but you had to wait in line a long time. Very ineffective system.
