The establishment
Nice little campsite. We are a family of 4. Two adults with an 11 month old and 5 year old. Mainly French people which we liked. It makes us feel more on holiday. Pleasant staff. We found good bike hire. Great location for cycle rides to St Martin or La Flotte or even further afield to La Courade. Pool was good. Not too crowded. We were there the last week of August. All in all we would return.

The establishment
We had a wonderful time at il de Re. This campingsite is suited on a perfect spot, 5 /10 minutes from the little towns La Flotte en St. Martin de Re. Its a quit and clean camping. The staff is very friendly en helpful.
The deposit for using the rentbike is very high, 400 for a regular en 1000 euros for a e-bike. We always rent e-bikes but we never payed so much deposit ( 200 euro is max). Not everyone can afford this!!

The cottage is good, clean and everything was there. The beds were fine.
A tip : a waterboiler for making tea. A small lamp for the little room and possibly a dimmer for the light in the cottage.

We had lots of historic memories of this wonderful site, was so pleased to see that the essence hadn’t changed. The location unspoilt. The restaurant and staff were great, really accomodatinf and helpful with my minimal French language abilities. The pool area is excellent, clean, picturesque and comfortable loungers. The laundry facilities were great, high quality machines and simple to use.
Nothing we ‘disliked’ but potential areas for development could be: Would be great to be able to get some restaurant snacks, basic ones, at hours outside the restaurant hours. Sometimes the family were hungry for snacks outside the hours.
Accommodation review
The pitch position was lovely, seating area private and plenty of garden lounge furniture. The accommodation was clean and contained all the equipment, crockery, cutlery etc that you needed. The shower was powerful and very clean. Found our pitch very peaceful.
Nothing that I particularly ‘disliked’, but areas for potential: Would have been great to be able to hire certain extras. Iron, ironing board, kettle. The mattress was a little uncomfortable compared to other mobile homes we’ve used. Perhaps an upgrade in certain pitches that carry a premium price? Also, this was my mistake, as I assumed the cottage came with an oven, perhaps one to think about for the future. Perhaps in a premium caravan that customers pay extra for. Overall a great cottage.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You have a great team of people. We love the island. We got the impression that the staff were on top of things and that the park is very well managed and maintained.
We didn't like that cars are allowed to be parked at the accommodation. This makes the park less safe and makes the park less appealing. The appearance and atmosphere at the park would be better if cars were parked outside the park.

Site is in a great location, easy to get to villages and beaches. Staff were friendly and helpful, any issues were sorted immediately. Big shout out to Amelie who was great fun and made our holiday extra special.

A very restful, well run site within easy cycling distance of La Flotte and St. Martin. Lovely pool and on site restaurant and bar. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff.

The chalet was in good condition, clean and well-maintained with good appliances and shower.
The chalet was somewhat on the small side. Whilst it could sleep up to 4 people (there were 3 x adults in our party) there was little room for suitcases and other luggage items, once unloaded. More particularly, there was no outside veranda or cover for the wet weather that we experienced. This just meant that the limitations of space inside, just mentioned, were made that bit worse.

Camping très bien situé entre la Flotte et Saint-Martin, accès facile à vélo. Piscine d'une belle taille et propre. Camping fleuri et propre aussi, au calme loin des routes. Personnel sympathique.
Bien rappeler aux propriétaires de chiens de les garder, plusieurs sont venus sur mon emplacement et même un dans mon hébergement. Un peu sonore avec le mobil-home contigu, alors que pas du tout avec ceux en parallèle, à voir peut-être pour une petite haie entre les 2?

Cottage spacieux et lumineux surtout la pièce de vie et la salle de bains avec plein de rangements (et une bonne pression dans la douche). Les volets dans les chambres sont un vrai plus pour bien dormir.
Quelques petites améliorations possibles: un petit paillasson à l'entrée, une housse anti punaises de lit sur les matelas (il n'y avait pas de ces sales bêtes ici mais ayant connu ce souci un jour, j'en suis phobique !).
