The Camping de Barolles is a campsite in France situated half way between Paris and Marseille. The site is located in Saint Genis Laval in the Rhône (69), to the south-west of Lyon (7 km), close to the A7 motorway (approximately 5 km). We used this campsite to visit the city of Lyon...It's in a very nice location, with easy access to the city center with bus and underground train. The bus stops right outside the gate of the campsite...Pitches are large and the toilets showers are very good. Both reception staff we met couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Valuable information about buses to Lyon and back - even had the tickets to buy. Facilities absolutely spotlessly clean - and heated!! Easy walking distance to the town with plenty of cafés and shops. Lovely patisserie. Would recommend this site.
If anything, it was a shame there were a couple of very old caravans on our tier that had boarded up and taped up windows. Just spoilt the look of the place, but by no means affected our stay.
