The Campsite of Tournus is an ideally situated, comfortable 3 star campsite in the heart of Southern Burgundy. At only 1,5 km from the A6 Motorway (Exit 27 Tournus), the campsite has a lovely view over the river Saône (50 yards from the campsite). Modern and clean toilet facilities (renovated in 2012), fresh bread and breakfast service, take away, free wifi. The city centre of Tournus, known for the Saint Philibert Abbey and many excellent restaurants, is less than 1 kilometer from the campsite.

Easy access to site nice friendly staff
Unfortunately they had some very wet weather and the grass at the side of the pitch was very muddy but they can’t control the weather will be happy to stop there on way back home

I stayed here 40 years ago as a child & I was pleased to see how the site maintained the same peaceful atmosphere, with some lovely upgrades - Same family run the place and they are the kindest, happiest campsite owners we've ever met. The grounds are beautiful around the chateau. The food & drinks are gorgeous & fresh at both cafe & restaurant. There's a nice, relaxed crowd on the site and there is discreet entertainment, without being too full-on. The pitches are great, spacious & flat. The fishing/kayak lake is really peaceful and natural and the kids loved the play area, with zip-line.
The pool could was chaos at times! It's not very big for the number of campers on site.

Breakfast and bread, location and signage to get there. Good security
No soap online toilets to wash hands, toilet block needs a good clean. The grass has not been cut regulatory, looks untidy. Huge out holes along road by pitches that can cause bad damage to cars and caravans.

I loved the walk into Tournus along the banks of the river Soane, also the easy access to dog exercise area from a little gate in one corner of the site.
Not enough toilets and showers for the site during busy periods.

Nice to have a place just for cycling campers. Large emplacement.. Nice atmosphere with event and music , but I like yo hear Happy people, enjoyed the music and it didn't go on late. Felt very secure with Large gate locked. Could be better signed from the voie verte, as Google took the long way round. And when your tired, on a bike every bit extra counts. Oh and the receptionist he was super helpful and spoke good English. Thank you.
