We were travelling through the Dolomites in our rental VW camper and were able to book at Camping Catinaccio Rosegarten via their website. On arrival they were incrediably helpful and the site and facilities were excellent. So good we stayed an extra night.

We were allocated ro area 1 but there was no shade there and we asked to be moved elswhere despite the camp was full. They agreed as we were camping with 2 dogs. We were moved to area 5. The pitch was big, under trees. The pitch was flat and slightly higher then the path/roadway. Ground was covered with mulch so no mud nor dust around and inside the tent

We stayed for 4 nights on a pitch number 161. It was last in a row and quiet, but located right next to a wired fence with a public walking/cycle path next to it. There is no visual barrier so you have hundreds of people walking around you the whole day, feeling a bit like a display animal in a ZOO..
Some visual barrier on the fence would be helpful.

Camping Catinaccio is a very well maintained campsite. There are plenty of comfortable washrooms. It is busy but not crowded. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. They speak many languages. The cafe bar on site is open every day. The location is peaceful beside the river and a very short walk to the town centre where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Val Di Fassa has excellent tourist infrastructure with free buses running throughout the area.
