Lovely owners who were super helpful on arrival
We cut short our 6 night stay after 2 nights as we were bitten at least 30 times from mosquitoes. Now we know that they are common but we felt the pitch was clearly near to a nest of some kind which was a shame as the island is amazing. This is clearly outside of the site owners control but she never asked why we decided to leave after 2 days - I guess as we had paid then no issue for her!

The site has a good pool and is reasonable cycle ride away from local attractions. The younger man and woman on site were friendly.
This poor visit started with a poor welcome! We arrived around 2, after a long drive, to find reception closed from 12-3. Come 3 o’clock we joined a queue of people waiting to talk to reception. This queue turned out to be very slow as one lady very slowly processed each enquiry. It felt like the lady went out of her way to be difficult. She sent me to check our pitch and whilst I did so sent us to the back of the queue, shouting at our children. When we finally got checked in we were led to a different pitch.. Irritable and clearly unhappy owners. Even the electricity boxes are padlocked

Can’t say we were blown away by this site. Pool was ok but it really wasn’t what we were expecting. Owners just seem to not love what they are doing (although a younger man and lady were more friendly)
Padlocked electricity cabinets. Ours tripped after additional people turned up and were plugged in. I then had to find someone to unlock the cabinet and reset it, much to their annoyance (albeit they did come and do it they were clearly unhappy about it). Wouldn’t have been a problem if it were unlocked!!

The pitches aren't very well maintained, weeds, tree roots and mud sum them up. The toilet and kitchen cleaning area have been forgotten about and seem to have been left in the 1990's. Oh and there's no toilet paper on site so you'll need to take your own (which we always carry a roll just in case) This site is no where near a beach like the photos show

The establishment
This was our second year in a row visiting this site and Oleron. Very friendly and well run site with clean big pitches and excellent sanitary blocks. The pool is pleasant and there are plenty of loungers. The best beaches are only a cycle away. The family who run it are polite, friendly and not intrusive. The citadel is only a short spin on the bike and if you're like us you'll go down there every evening for food in the many restaurants.
The bar seems only to be open in High Season so there's nowhere on site for a drink in June, however this is a small point.

Everything was perfect for our motorhome, large grassy, partially shaded sites. The sanitary block is so clean, you can locate beside it.

Cadre tranquille et paisible et très propre , nous donnons 5/5 à la dame qui nous a accueilli à la pizzeria et effectuer notre état des lieux de fin de séjour , très souriante , accueillante et professionnelle.
Nous avons tous fait au maximum pour respecter les règles commentaire du camping malgré un petit incident avec notre chien …qui s’est échapper accidentellement du bengalo, notre chien est très peureux et aboie sur les gens mais n’est pas agressive au point de mordre …nous avons pas apprécié la remarque du monsieur qui a menacer notre chien et s’est mis dans un état incompréhensible. Nous nous escusons pour ce incident mais pas besoin de s’en porter au point de menacer

L'equipement de mobilhome est stric minimum pour une gamme "confort" : sans hotte, ni boulloir, ni bain de soleil (il faut choisir une gamme au dessus pour les avoir!)seulement 3 grand verre pour 4 personnes! Sans kit d'entretien de bienvenue, je peux comprendre mais on doit laisser un rouleau de papier wc et remettre un sac poubelle avant de partir : On n'a jamais eu ce demande dans des autres campings.
