We really enjoy the friendly helpful staff, always willing to accommodate special requests where possible. The region is beautiful, the camp site is well kept and the pitches have a feel of space. We have stayed here as a stop over and for our holiday on several occasions now and we will continue to return.

    General information

Staff couldn’t do enough to make sure you had everything you needed, the site was kept clean and and site had everything you could want. Restaurant food was lovely.

Nearest cycle town had funny days when things didn’t open. Cycle museum only open PM and shut in one day then restaurants shut the next.

    Accommodation review

Everything. We were right on the lake and close to the pool.

Layout of the campsite is good for short walks around esp to get the babies to sleep.

It would be better if there is a snack bar for people who do not wish to go to the restaurant. The Pizza take away is not enough.

    Accommodation review

    Accommodation : Fully Serviced pitch - Electricity 10 A + Water + Drainage

Period of stay : From 22/07/2020 to 05/08/2020

    General information

The site is very well kept and has good facilities. We wanted a relaxing break after all the upheaval of the past few months, and that’s exactly what we got. The site isn’t far from the river, where there is a well surfaced path, good for walking or cycling. Although we were on holiday as a couple, there were lots of families enjoying the facilities and we’ve recommended it to other members of our family who have young children. The shop is well stocked and bread/croissants, etc can be ordered each day. We didn’t use the restaurant, but the takeaway makes good pizza.

    Nothing

    Accommodation review

Great connecting to water and drainage for a longer stay. The pitch was huge.

Our pitch lacked shade in the late afternoon, but that was a very minor problem. I’d rather be trying to shelter from the sun than the rain and the weather was superb for our two weeks.

We love the Chateau and have been staying for 18 years normally as an overnight stop on the way south. Gert and family make us very welcome and it’s a great place to just stop and unwind.

The pizza takeaway has new staff and is not as good as normal although I’m sure once they get back to normal after COVID it will be as good as it used to be.

    General information

Really big pitches, staff very friendly & helpful. Site was busy yet extremely quiet. Restaurant was very good.

Extremely limited choice at take away. They only offered pizza, fries and boeuf bourguignon so very, very limited! More variety & we would have used this more.

    Accommodation review

Flat & very, very large pitch segregated by hedges. One of the best pitches that we have ever had.

    Nothing.
