Period of stay : From 10/08/2020 to 15/08/2020

    General information

The site is perfect for a magical family vacation, Beautiful surroundings and lots to do with children! All this with just the right amount of “nomad” life, but not sacrificing the comfort of amenitites that are so necessary for the children (and the parents’ sanity! :D)! This was our fifth time at Grubhof, this year with our four children 1-11. Highly, highly recommend Grubhof to families!

There really isnt much to dislike. We even got lucky with the weather. Well, we disliked rainstorms. Even that they do a thorough job with! But the green grass and the smell of rain, plus the beautiful cool dewy mornings make up for the bad weather!

    Accommodation review

Quite spacious, easy access to water and power.

Rocky-bumpy soil under tent, you need heavy duty stakes!

    General information

From start to finish the holiday was just perfect. We enjoyed it so much we are planning already to go back next year and will also plan a trip in the Summer months. The site is exceptional. The on-site restaurant was very good value for money and the quality of the food was excellent. We went to ski in the local area and with the (free) ski bus picking up on site, access to the slopes in Lofer was very convenient. Approx 2 km from the town of Lofer the cycle and footpaths make it an easy route. Plenty of supermarkets in the local area of Lofer. The scenery was beautiful.

    Accommodation review

Pitch was a good size and well laid out. Everything was clean and tidy. Gas was available if required. Close to the bathrooms - which were absolutely outstanding. We were on a pitch that accept dogs and although we didn't use it, there is even a walk in dog shower!

    General information

Great hookup service with (extremely helpful assisted) piped gas etc. Sanitary facilities comprehensive, generally very clean, with nice, large private bathrooms and a powerful hot shower. The laundry and related facilities also very good. The onsite restaurant is good to have, although a few more choices on the menu would be appreciated. This is a well organised site in a very beautiful area.

Wifi is patchy (had to reconnect multiple times) and compared to related sites a little on the expensive side (many sites now offer good wifi within the main fee). Sauna facilities are great but for those of us who prefer to keep our swimmers on or who are from cultures not embracing public nudity so enthusiastically we would appreciate some set times each day (a few hours?) when the use of the sauna facilities requires wearing bathing costumes.

Hook up (piped gas, electricity, water, all in winter)
